Hot Springs: Aguas Termales, (Agua Caliente is Spanish and means 'Hot Water') and this is exactly what this location as all about, about 45 min from Copán. The thermal waters sprout flowing into a river forming natural pools and showers. Bathers can relax and sooth their bodies. Situated in a beautiful natural setting - it is a must see!
Coffee Plantations:
Honduras
produces fine coffee. The
countryside surrounding the site of the Copán Ruins is located at a high
altitude. The hills around
Copán are prime coffee growing area. There are many coffee farms in the area
and tours can be arranged. See the raw coffee bean and the refining process
to make that great cup of java that we all enjoy. Finca Santa Isabel is a large finca close to Copán and
possible the biggest, producing Cafe Welchez.
